The Peptides are a Punk Pop tribute band that crush people into whatever venue they play. They are legendary in Melbourne's official live music district - St Kilda. As you know, Fred is the mayor of St Kilda (though he lost the city key in 1985).
Our set is a collection of killer classics by the likes of: The Sex Pistols, the Buzzcocks, the Ramones, the Modern Lovers, Talking Heads, God, the Saints, Magazine, Kraftwerk, Iggy Pop, the Only Ones, the Motels, the Flying Lizards, and the Violent Femmes.
The Peptides feature Crystal Ballroom musicians (The Ears, Beargarden, International Exiles, Blue Ruin, Wild Dog Rodeo and more). Carl Manuell, Adam Learner, Mick Lewis, Megan Bawden, Angela S Howard, Elizabeth Realle and band leader Rob Wellington with Vivienne Gay (legend) and Ross Farnell (also a legend) on the interchange bench.
We say we have put together the perfect band but how can mere mortals acheive this?!
